INFORMATION ON NAMI:



Have the staff to scroll this information submitted regarding NAMI on

CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM PROGRAM:



Have the staff to get together with the Chief of Police and consider

having all of

the 911 employees trained in the Crisis Intervention Team program. (Request of

Councilor Allen)

ASHLEY STATION PROJECT:



Have the staff to check and bring back some information regarding the

Ashley Station project and provide information as to the kind of proposed taxes

we expect for that project to generate on the houses that are being sold there,

and also the rental properties. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

PROPOSED BAKER VILLAGE PROJECT:



Ask the Housing Authority to have their attorneys to look into the

possibility of a set-aside program so that local contractors, particularly

sub-contractors would have a certain portion of work set-aside for the local

sub-contractors. (Request of Mayor Poydasheff )





Get one of the Deputy City Managers to work with the Housing Authority and

let?s find out what the opportunities are for the Baker Village area, to

include this proposed project; and very soon, we need to make some kind of

decision, if this is something that we want to participate in. (Request of

Councilor Henderson)



Have the staff to continue to look at some of the creative financing and

determine if there are any CDBG funds available, as well as look and see if

there is special funding that we can get through special appropriation on the

State and National level. Also, if infrastructure kinds of issue, i.e., sewer,

etc.; can we use some of the funding from those restrictive funds for those

restrictive purposes that will support this effort. (Request of Councilor

Anthony)



Have the Finance staff to get together and determine where we can fund the

$3.5 million to assist the Housing Authority with this proposed project, and

look at some creative financing ways that we could possibly do this. (Request

of Councilor Suber)

LIBRARY PROJECT:



Have the staff to request our bond attorney, Mr. Jim Parnell to explain

his opinion further, in regards to the procedure in order to allow the Library

Board to purchase the Firestone property, where he stated that we would have to

vote to expand the footprints to make it larger in order to allow them to

include it in their project. (Request of Councilor Allen)

TO THE MAYOR:



PROPOSED INTERNAL AUDITOR?S POSITION:



Let?s make sure that we consider having the annual audit be presented to

us by the external auditor at a Council meeting. (Request of Councilor Anthony)



When the audit report comes in, we need to have a detailed analysis or

report on the contents of the audit report and it should be done right here at

the Council table. (Request of Councilor Davis)
