CITY ATTORNEY'S AGENDA
FOR THE MEETING OF APRIL 22, 2014
O R D I N A N C E S:
(1) 2nd Reading - Property located at the north portion of 918 15th Street
(1415 10th Avenue), is proposed for rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing
Industrial) to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District. (Uptown Storage, LLC,
owner) (REZN?1-14-0059) (District 7?Councilor Woodson) The purpose of the
rezoning is for business/professional office (tax and accounting) and
auto/truck wash and detailing facility. The Planning Advisory Commission
recommends Conditional Approval and the Planning Department recommends Denial.
(2) 2nd Reading - An ordinance amending Chapter 3 of the Columbus Code by
revising provisions concerning locations of off-premises establishments,
including retail near college or university campuses; by revising provisions
related to on-premises alcohol sales at certain locations, including Sunday
on-premises sales; and for other purposes. (Councilor McDaniel)
(3) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO)
for Columbus, Georgia so as to establish an overlay district for Manchester
Expressway. Recommended for approval by both the Planning Advisory Commission
and the Planning Department. (Councilor McDaniel)
(4) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending Chapter 2 of the Columbus Code so as to
increase the number of directors of the Development Authority of Columbus,
Georgia from seven to nine; and for other purposes. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)
R E S O L U T I O N S:
(5) Commending and congratulating the Columbus State University Lady
Cougars basketball team upon recently winning the Peach Belt Conference
tournament crown. (Councilor Thomas)
(6) Approving an Order from the Superior Court Judges of the
Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit appointing the new Juvenile Court Judge and
setting compensation for the three Juvenile Court Judges of the Chattahoochee
Judicial Circuit. (Councilor McDaniel)
