A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO ALLOW FOR AUTOMOTIVE SALES LESS
THAN 2 ACRES, BUT MORE THAN 0.5 ACRE LOCATED AT 3688 and 3522 VETERANS PARKWAY,
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Joshua Cofer has requested a Special Exception for automotive sales
less than 2 acres, but more than 0.5 acres within the GC (General Commercial)
zoning district;
WHEREAS, automotive sales less than 2 acres, but more than 0.5 acres is
permitted solely as a Special Exception Use under the current GC (General
Commercial) zoning district;
WHEREAS, the Planning Department and Planning Advisory Commission have reviewed
the request and recommend approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B of the Unified Development Ordinance
has been properly met and a Special Exception Use to allow the operation of
automotive sales less than 2 acres, but more than 0.5 acres are granted for the
properties located at 3688 and 3522 Veterans Parkway, otherwise known as
parcels #014-023-008 and #014-023-005.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
14th day of June, 2016, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
