CITY MANAGER'S AGENDA

I. WESTVILLE - REVISIONS AND EXTENSION OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT:



Approval is requested to enter into an amended Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)

with Historic Westville, Inc. to extend the timeframe to begin normal

operations of the Living History Museum, to extend the lease agreement for the

property at 3535 B South Lumpkin Road, and to revise language within the MOA to

incorporate a partnership between Columbus Consolidated Government and

Westville for the development of a public parking lot.





II. CITY MILLS EXCHANGE AND EASEMENT AGREEMENT:



Approval is requested to execute all necessary documents for the Riverwalk ?

City Mills Exchange and Easement Agreement between the City of Columbus and

City Mills Properties, LLC in order to construct the Riverwalk at the City

Mills location.





III. DONATION BY NORTHERN LITTLE LEAGUE:



Approval is requested to accept a donation of bleacher covers at the cost of

$23,000 from Northern Little League to be used exclusively at Psalmond Road

Park Fields.





IV. DONATION BY WEST GEORGIA INSPECTORS ASSOCIATION:



Approval is requested to accept a donation of multiple smoke detectors in the

amount of $1,000 from the West Georgia Inspectors Association to be used to

assist the Fire Department's efforts of fire prevention for the citizens of

Columbus.

V. CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT FOR FORT BENNING ROAD TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT

PROJECT:



Approval is requested to enter into a construction agreement with the Georgia

Department of Transportation for the Fort Benning Road Streetscapes project

from Levy Road to the former main gate of Fort Benning. The estimated cost of

this project is $650,000 with a federal contribution of $500,000. Funding for

the minimum local required match of $125,000 or 20% has already been met as

part of the requirements for engineering and right of way costs.





VI. LEASE RENEWAL AGREEMENT WITH SYNOVOUS BANK/ATM MACHINE:



Approval is requested to enter into a lease renewal agreement with Synovous

Bank that allows a walk up automatic teller machine at the Bay Avenue Parking

Deck. Synovous will rent the premises for a sum of $150.00 per month beginning

August 1, 2017 and ending July 31, 2022.

VIII. RESTRUCTURE OF RECORDER'S COURT: (ADD-ON)



Approval is requested authorizing the restructure of Recorder's Court to hire

one full time Senior Recorder's Court Judge and three (3) part time Recorder's

Court Pro Tem Judges. It is recommended that the restructure become effective

July 1, 2017.





IX. RECORDER'S COURT CHIEF CLERK: (ADD-ON)



Approval is requested authorizing the restructure of Recorder's Court to hire a

full time Chief Clerk of Recorder's Court and eliminate the Court Coordinator

position. The recommended changes are budget neutral and it is recommended

that the restructure become effective July 1, 2017.
