Called Board Meeting Minutes
January 24, 2012
A Meeting of the Community Development Advisory Council was held at the
Government Center Annex Building, 420 10th Street, January 24, 2012.
Members Present: Gladys Ford, Sally Haskins, Kim Jenkins, Charles McDaniel,
Marvin Moore, Claudya Muller, Carla Thomas
Members Absent: Clementine Cochran, Adrian Cox, Andrea Franklin,
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Claudya Muller, Vice Chair. A quorum was
present. The Minutes from the December 2011 Meeting were approved as
presented.
The Board reviewed and discussed the Entitlement budget recommendations for
FY2013. The recommendations being proposed are based on the requests made
through the application process for Entitlement funds. The total amount of
funds available for FY2013 is based on the funding allocations provided by
HUD. The Board discussed having all the applicants requesting funding make a
brief presentation to the Board about their request/program. The purpose of
the presentations would be to give the Board a better understanding of the
organizations and their funding requests. The presentations are to be no
longer than 10 minutes in length. The presentations will be made at a Called
Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 9, 3:00 p.m. at the Government
Center Annex.
