CITY ATTORNEY'S AGENDA
FOR THE MEETING OF DECEMBER 9, 2014
O R D I N A N C E S:
(1) 2ND Reading ? REZN-12-13-3657 ? Properties located at 4023, 4035, 4101, &
4113 Anglin Road; 3556 Valley Drive; and the north portion of 3705 Claymore
Road are proposed for rezoning from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning
district to RMF1 (Residential Multi-Family 1) zoning district. The proposed
uses are townhouses and single family residential. The Planning Advisory
Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.
(2) 2ND Reading - REZN-8-14-1835 ? Property located at 447 Andrews Road is
proposed for rezoning from LMI (Light Manufacturing/Industrial) zoning district
to GC (General Commercial) zoning district. The proposed use is convenience
store without gas sales. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning
Department recommend approval.
(3) 2ND Reading - REZN-8-14-1836 ? Property located at 5301 Morris Avenue is
proposed for rezoning from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning district
to SFR4 (Single Family Residential 4) zoning district. The proposed use is
single family residential. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning
Department recommend approval.
(4) 2ND Reading - REZN-10-14-2251 ? Text amendment to the Unified Development
Ordinance (UDO) to permit convalescent or nursing facility as a principal use
in the MROD (Mill Restoration Overlay District) zoning district. The Planning
Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.
(5) 2ND Reading ? An ordinance amending the budgets for the Fiscal Year 2014
beginning July 1, 2013 and ending June 30, 2014, for certain funds of the
Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia, appropriating amounts shown in
each fund for various activities; and for other purposes. (Budget Review
Committee)
(6) 1st Reading ? An ordinance regulating vehicular traffic in
Columbus, Georgia by establishing ranked parking along the south curb of 11th
Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue and a loading zone along the south
curb of the same block; authorizing the installation of official traffic
control signs indicating the ranked parking and loading zones; repealing
conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes. (Councilor Woodson)
R E S O L U T I O N S:
(7) A Resolution requesting Special Exception Use (EXCP-10-14-2312) for
a Place of Worship (250 or More Seats) / Private School / Day Care Center (Type
III) at 2000 Kay Circle; 1703 and 1723 Sheffield Drive; and 1820 Box Road. The
current zonings for the properties are SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) and
GC (General Commercial) zoning districts. The Planning Advisory Commission and
the Planning Department recommend approval.
(8) A resolution granting a hardship variance request to waive the minimum
street frontage requirement in order to relieve a landlocked lot at 0 County
Line Road (Tax Map ID #136-001-008). The current zoning for the property is
RE1 (Residential Estate 1) and proposed use of property is Rural/Residential.
The Planning Department recommends conditional approval.
(9) A resolution expressing appreciation to Colonel Roy Plummer upon his
retirement as the Director of Army Instruction for the Muscogee County School
District JROTC. (Councilor Barnes)
