I. COLUMBUS COTTAGE PROGRAM:
Authorization is requested to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU), with NeighborWorks Columbus, Inc., to establish a working relationship
for the Columbus Cottage Program. This program will improve the living
conditions of the elderly and/or disabled residents living in substandard
living conditions by providing a new home (cottage). An agenda report, map and

II. STREET LIGHTING AGREEMENTS:
Authorization is requested to execute Street Lighting Agreements with local
utility companies and the Georgia Department of Transportation for street

Provide eight (8) sets of bleachers to be used by the Parks & Recreation
Department.

Scope of RFB
Provide a truck with 12-foot flat bed dump body. The truck is a replacement
unit and will be used by the Parks Services Division of the Parks & Recreation
Department to transport tools and work material for jobs at the Riverwalk and
City owned parks.

Columbus South Development Opportunity ? RFP No. 08-0025
Scope of RFP
The City of Columbus is seeking proposals for the purchase and development of
35.57 (+/-) acres of vacant land located off Cusseta Road and Fort Benning
Road. Over the past few years, this area has seen revitalization efforts that
helped improve the quality of life of the community by building new housing and
adding new businesses. Some of the housing developments include the Baker
Village Revitalization, which will create 244 new apartment units, and the
Ambling Development, which is anticipating creating 250 units. In addition,
several transportation improvements are underway, such as a proposed four (4)
lane widening of Cusseta Road, which will help alleviate congestion problems
and will improve access to the area.
