O R D I N A N C E S:
(1) 2nd Reading - Rezoning property located at 8238 Cooper Creek Road is
proposed for rezoning from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) District to RO
(Residential Office) District. (63-CA-06-Welch) (Councilor McDaniel) (The
Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and the Planning Division
recommends conditional approval.) (As amended)
(2) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located at 2914 Macon Road is proposed for
rezoning from RO (Residential Office) District to NC (Neighborhood Commercial)
District. (64-A-06-Reese) (Councilor McDaniel) (The Planning Advisory
Commission and the Planning Division recommend approval)
(3) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located at 800, 810, 813, 820 and 821 8th
Street and part of 800 8th Avenue is proposed for rezoning from LMI (Light
Manufacturing/Industrial) District to GC (General Commercial) District.

(4) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located at 2515 3rd Avenue and 212, 216 and

Habitat for Humanity) (Councilor McDaniel) (The Planning Advisory Commission
and the Planning Division recommend approval)
(5) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located at 4000 Wooldridge Road is proposed
for rezoning from RE1 (Residential Estate 1) District to LMI (Light
Manufacturing/Industrial) District. (67-CA-06-Ford) (Councilor McDaniel) (The
Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Division recommend conditional
approval)
(6) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending Chapter 2 of the Columbus Code by
adding a new Article VI to create the position of Internal Auditor/Compliance
Officer. (Mayor Pro Tem Jack Rodgers)
(7) 1st Reading - An ordinance revising the fee system for the Department of
Engineering for services performed in the review of plans and permits for site
development, soil erosion, work on public rights-of-way and other related
services; revising the fee schedule for services performed, repealing
conflicting ordinances; also giving the City Manager the authority to approve
changes reviewed and submitted by the Engineering Department every four months
for sign fees; and for other purposes. (Councilor McDaniel)
(8) 1st Reading ? An ordinance regulating vehicular traffic in Columbus,
Georgia by establishing/amending the parking restrictions along the following
street segments: Heath Drive, beginning at the west curb of River Road and
Running westerly along the south curb of Heath Drive a distance of 590 feet;
authorizing the installation of official traffic control signs indicating said
parking restrictions; repealing any conflicting ordinances and for other
purposes. (Councilor McDaniel)
(9) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending the ?Official Street Map of the City
of Columbus, Georgia? by deleting a segment of Whitesville Road Right-Of-Way
and declaring said segment of Right-Of-Way surplus; said segment of
Right-Of-Way is in front of 5729 Whitesville Road consisting of approximately
547 square feet more specifically defined by survey entitled ?Part of
Whitesville Road Right-Of-Way? dated October 10, 2006 by Moon, Meeks, Mason &
Vinson, Inc. and made part of this ordinance by reference; providing that all
existing utility easements of record remain in effect and providing appropriate
width as required by the applicable utility companies will be reserved for
unknown utilities; authorizing the disposal of said property in accordance with
the City Code; repealing any conflicting ordinances and for other purposes.
