RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, the Georgia Humanities Council recently recognized several Columbus
students as winners in its National History Day competition;
WHEREAS, these students will advance to participate in National History
Day at the University of Maryland from June 11-15, 2006;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of these students are worthy of special
recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the following students from Columbus who won
National History Day prizes and we wish them every success as they attend
National History Day at the University of Maryland: Rebecca Loney, Zachry
Jones, Elizabeth Carson, Daniel Waynick, Nick Decker, Matthew Marshall, Abigail
Derr, John Rowell, Jaleesa Reed, Caroline Adams, Nathan Hannan, MaryAnn
Ionascu, Isabella Lugo, Caitlin Ribeiro, Cequoyah Jones, Diamond Akers, Julia
Cape, Jane Griesheim, Elizabeth Wise, Kelsey Kerle, Maria Greene, M. Briggs
DeLoach, Logan Ogletree, Robert Walton, Jr., Alan Smith, Samuel Wise, Trenton
Trawick, Jamaal Bronner, Tim Alson, Caroline Henley, Damini Jain and teachers
Sue Funk (Midland Middle School), Claire Derr (Richards Middle School) and Mary
Ann Psalmond (Columbus High School). Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded
to the above-named participants.
