A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO ALLOW FOR A PLACE OF WORSHIP
LESS THAN TWO ACRES BUT MORE THAN ONE ACRE LOCATED AT 101 & 107 BASCOM COURT.
WHEREAS, Trinity (Temple) Assembly of God has requested a Special Exception for
a place of worship with less than two acres but more than one acre within the
GC (General Commercial) zoning district;
WHEREAS, place of worship with less than two acres but more than one acre is
permitted solely as a Special Exception Use under the current GC (General
Commercial) zoning district;
WHEREAS, the Planning Department and Planning Advisory Commission have reviewed
the request and recommend conditional approval and approval respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B of the Unified Development Ordinance
has been properly met and a Special Exception Use to allow the operation of a
place of worship with less than two acres but more than one acre is granted for
the properties located at 101 & 107 Bascom Court, otherwise known as parcel
numbers 072-015-006 & 072-015-007, subject to the following condition:
The replat shall be approved before Trinity (Temple) Assembly of God receives a
Certificate of Occupancy from the Inspections and Codes Department.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
10TH day of May, 2016, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
members of said Council.
