Subject OPPORTUNITY ZONES
Description Deputy City Manager Arrington did a presentation on Opportunity
Zones; a referral was made for information, maps, and census tracts on the
Military Zones that have been designated by the State of Georgia. (Request of
Mayor Tomlinson) Also, determine if the Military Zones are just a designation
or if there are incentives that apply to the designation, and what are those
incentives. (Request of Councilor Davis) In addition, identify any other
opportunities for different types of zones. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Turner
Pugh)
