RESOLUTIONS

RESOLUTION: Commending and congratulating Judge Aaron Cohn, upon his being the

nation?s longest serving Juvenile Court Judge, retired on September 30, 2011.



RESOLUTION: Commending and congratulating Anthony James, a senior at Columbus

High School, upon receiving his Eagle Award, the highest achievement in

scouting later this year.



RESOLUTION: Commending and congratulating Chaz Cannon, a senior at Columbus

High School upon receiving his Eagle Scout Award during a ceremony at First

Presbyterian Church.



RESOLUTION: Commending and congratulating Dr. Robert Michael Franklin upon

becoming the tenth president of Morehouse College.



RESOLUTION: Commending and congratulating Dr. Gilbert L. Rochon upon becoming

the sixth president of Tuskegee University in November of 2010.



RESOLUTION: Commending and congratulating Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum upon

becoming the Ninth President of Spelman College.





RETIREES

RESOLUTION: Expressing appreciation to Honorable Aaron Cohn upon his retirement

as Judge of Juvenile Court after over 49 years of service.



RESOLUTION: Expressing appreciation to Honorable Douglas C. Pullen upon his

retirement as Judge of Superior Court after 39 years of service.



RESOLUTION: Expressing appreciation to Mr. Robert F. Carswell, upon his

retirement as HVAC Technician II with Public Services Department after over 36

years of service.



RESOLUTION: Expressing appreciation to Mrs. Ingrid Elmore, upon her retirement

as Administrative Assistant with the Muscogee County Tax Assessors Office after

28 years of service.



RESOLUTION: Expressing appreciation to Mr. Lester D. Talley, upon his

retirement as Battalion Chief with FIRE/EMS after 26 years of service.



RESOLUTION: Expressing appreciation to Mr. Jeffrey C. Wright, upon his

retirement as Director of Airport Police at the Columbus Metropolitan Airport

after over 16 years of service.



RESOLUTION: Expressing appreciation to Mr. Ronald C. Pierson, upon his

retirement as a Police Officer with the Columbus Police Department after 35

years of service.





DECEASED CURRENT EMPLOYEES

RESOLUTION: Conveying condolences to the family of Mrs. Frances Kathleen Steed,

employee with the Public Services/Special Enforcement Department who passed

away on August 25, 2011.



RESOLUTION: Conveying condolences to the family of Ms. Vicki Lynn Adams,

employee with the Parks & Recreation/Lake Oliver Marina who passed away on

September 7, 2011.
