SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Ruffie Way and that portion of Kitten Lake

located in Kitten Lake replat of Phase One parcel 300

Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Ruffie

Way and that portion of Kitten Lake Dr located in Kitten Lake (replat of Phase

One parcel 300).



Background: Ruffie Way and that portion of Kitten Lake Dr. located in Kitten

Lake (replat of Phase One parcel 300) has (4) four commercial lots. The streets

have been improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by the

City.



Analysis: A deeds have been conveyed to the City conveying Ruffie Way and that

portion of Kitten Lake Dr. located in Kitten Lake replat of Phase One parcel

300. A description of property is as follows: All those tracts and parcels of

land situate, lying and being in the State of Georgia, County of Muscogee and

City of Columbus, in Land Lots 67, and 68, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia described on Exhibit A to deed (The parcel of Land in Land Lots

67, 68, 9th District, Muscogee County, Georgia, as shown upon a map or plat

entitled Replat of Parcel 300 Phase One Kitten Lake, by Moon, Meeks, Mason, &

Vinson, Inc. dated April 23, 2013, recorded at Plat Book 163, Folio 332,

Muscogee County, Georgia records (the "Plat") lying within the following metes

and bounds Exhibit A).



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Ruffie

Way and that portion of Kitten Lake Dr located in Kitten Lake (replat of Phase

One parcel 300).











A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO RUFFIE WAY AND THAT

PORTION OF KITTEN LAKE DRIVE LOCATED IN KITTEN LAKE (REPLAT OF PHASE ONE PARCEL

300) ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Ruffie Way and

that portion of Kitten Lake Drive located in Kitten Lake (replat of Phase One

Parcel 300), a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated August 22, 2013, conveying Columbus, Georgia

Ruffie Way and that portion of Kitten Lake Drive located in Kitten Lake, Replat

of Phase One Parcel 300, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in

the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the

deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
