AN ORDINANCE

An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of

Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 513 14th Street from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial) Zoning

District to UPT (UpTown) Zoning District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department be, and the same is

hereby amended by changing the aforementioned property of the following

described property from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) District to SFR4

(Single Family Residential 4) District:





All those lots, tracts or parcels of land situate, lying and being in the State

of Georgia, County of Muscogee and City of Columbus, and being known and

designated as all of Lot Numbered Three, Four, and Five, of The Orphans Asylum

Block, sometimes known as orphans home block, and being more particularly

described as follows:



Beginning at an iron pin located at the intersection of the westerly

right-of-way line of 6th Avenue and the northerly right-of-way line of 14th

street, and running south 87 degrees 28 minutes west, along the north

right-of-way line of 14th Street, a distance of 174.82 feet to an iron pin;

running thence North 02 degrees 48 minutes West a distance of 119.93 feet to an

iron pin; running thence North 87 degrees 26 minutes east 175.01 feet to an

iron pin located on the west right of way line of 6th avenue; and running

thence south 02 degrees 43 minutes east a distance of 120 feet to the Point of

Beginning;



This being the same property conveyed by Gen hill Realty Co. to National

Distributing Co. Inc., by warranty deed dated August 1, 1977, recorded in deed

book 1681, page 332, in said Clerk?s Office; National Distributing company,

Inc., the Grantor herein, being the same entity known as National Distributing

Co. Inc., described in said warranty Deed so dated August 1, 1977, recorded in

Deed book 1681, page 332, in said Clerk?s Office.



The above-described properties are being rezoned with the following conditions:



The Place of Worship shall maintain a shared parking agreement with an adjacent

property.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

8TH day of March, 2011; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said

Council held on the day of ___________, 2011 and adopted at said meeting by

the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
