I. WAIVING CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS FOR TEMPORARY USES OR SPECIAL EVENTS:



Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved waive

Section 3.2.63.C. and G.5 (A) (1) of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO)

regulating temporary uses and special events until January 1, 2009 in order to

accommodate such uses during the holiday season. An agenda report and

II. GRANT FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE:



Authorization is requested to accept a grant from the United States Department

of Justice for the Columbus Police Department Gang Resistance Education and

Training Program known as the G.R.E.A.T. Program. An agenda report and

1. Community Weather Station Network ? RFP No. 09-0003

Scope of Bid

Vendors are requested to provide pricing for the community weather station

network itself and/or provide the pricing for the provision and installation of

the community weather station network. The network will consist of eight (8)

weather stations and will be used by the Engineering and Fire/EMS Departments.



2. Bleachers (Re-Bid) ? RFP No. 09-0011

Scope of Bid

Provide eight (8) sets of bleachers to be used by the Parks & Recreation

Department.



3. Flail Mower ? RFP No. 09-0015

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) Flail Mower that will be used by the Right-Of-Way Maintenance

Division of the Public Services Department to cut grass on right-of-ways,

detention ponds and city owned property throughout Muscogee County.



4. Storm Drain Rehabilitation Priority 1 Pipes ? Contract 2 ? RFB No. 09-0018

Scope of Bid

The project consists of the following major elements: performing

cured-in-place storm sewer repairs as follows: 1,930 feet of 15 to 18-inch

pipe, 1,755 feet of 20 to 24-inch pipe, 1,020 feet of 27 to 30-inch pipe, 1,125

feet of 36-inch pipe, 520 feet of 42-inch pipe, and 1,210 feet of 48-inch

pipe. Performing CCTV inspection of 125 feet of 20 to 24-inch pipe and 170

feet of 27 to 30-inch pipe, miscellaneous point repairs and manhole height

adjustments. The City will only consider bids from pre-qualified contractors.



5. Pavement Marking Services (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 09-0016

Scope of Bid

Provide pavement-marking service on an ?as needed basis? to Columbus

Consolidated Government to be utilized by the Traffic Engineering Division.

The contract term will be for three years, with the option to renew for two

additional twelve-month periods.

1. Gym Floor Repairs, Stripping & Sealing (Annual Contract) ? RFB No.

09-0017

Scope of Bid

Provide gym floor repairs to include stripping/sealing of wood gym flooring at

Comer Gym, North Columbus Gym, Shirley Winston Gym, Frank D. Chester Gym,

Northside Recreation Center and Psalmond Road Recreation Center, also provide

stripping and refinishing of stage area at Comer gym on an ?as needed basis?.

The contract term will be for two years, with the option to renew for three

additional twelve-month periods.

1. Consulting Services for Historic Design Guidelines ? RFP No. 09-0001

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking proposals to update and

reformat the existing Design Guidelines used for approval of Certificate of

Appropriateness in the locally designated historic districts. This project does

not call for entirely new sets of guidelines. Instead, the successful

consultant will work with and refine existing guidelines creating opportunities

for interpretations that are more specific, color renderings, digitalization,

and other tools.
