AN ORDINANCE
NO.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
Section 1.
Section 8-88 of the Columbus Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and
there is substituted a new Section 8-88 to read as follows:
? Appeals.
When an owner or party in interest feels that he or she has been aggrieved by a
determination of the city manager or his designated agent or by demolition
ordinance of the Columbus Council, he or she may file an appeal in the Muscogee
County Superior Court. Said appeal shall be on the record, filed in writing
within thirty (30) days of said determination or ordinance adoption, and a copy
of said appeal shall be served on the Director of the Inspections and Code
Department. No further extensions shall be granted by Columbus Council, but the
filing of an appeal shall stay demolition of the property until a ruling by the
Muscogee County Superior Court or until all further appeals provided by law are
exhausted.?
Section 2.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed.
