Comments:

As assistant director of Oxbow Meadows, one of my passions is getting people

outdoors, reconnected with nature. I enjoy cycling for both recreation and

transportation, and I co-founded an urban cycling initiative called More Pedal,

Less Metal with the River Valley Regional Commission. Our goal is to encourage

citizens to ride more and drive less, making them and the environment

healthier. Through my work at Oxbow, I also organize and implement public

programs and festivals that draw thousands of visitors from the community,

showing them what South Columbus and the RiverWalk have to offer.

I support many organizations, such as the Environmental Education Alliance of

Georgia and the Columbus Audubon Society, that promote the enjoyment of outdoor

activities. I see tremendous potential for eco-tourism in Columbus, and I would

be honored to be part of a committee that develops exciting recreational

opportunities for our residents and visitors alike.
