Meeting called to order at 9:30 am by Dale Hester



Approved minutes for May.





Open Remarks: Dale Hester

Welcomed and thanked every one for coming

Discussed the month of April and how well the Civic Center did

Profit $65,000.00 from Disney and Gretchen Wilson shows



Robert Anderson

Did you see the letter in the paper about the budget?

We need to make sure everyone knows that we don?t receive money from the City

Any way that we can get publicity out we need to do so

Sam Wetzel

We should have put it in the paper how the Disney on Ice turn out was



Dale Hester

We did put an add in the paper about Fiesta Columbus



Finance Jennifer McVay

Passed out box office and building utilization sheet

Fiesta Columbus profited $27,000.00



Sharon Pierce

Was the attendance good? Dale- about what was expected for the 1st year



Dale Hester

The immigration problem may have hurt us a little



Robert Anderson

Explained the reason as to why the Hispanic didn?t want to participate with

Fiesta Columbus. From one of his co-workers point of view-which is Hispanic



Dale Hester

Explained that McKenzie Messenger (Event Coordinator) went to the Hispanic

Chamber and they thought it was a good idea

Next year we want to do more for the Fiesta where everyone can come



Sam Wetzel

Do you have an estimated number of attendance? Lisa- not right now but I will

get you the number before you leave

We?re into the summer months

Pretty Ricky & Omarion-July 14th

R. Kelly-August 18th

Denium & Diamond- not sure on the date

Thinking Denium and Diamond may have Clint Black or Kelly Clarkson

Ringling Brothers-July 17th ?22nd

How did the schools get their tickets for the Disney on Ice show? Lisa- we

forwarded them to the schools



Dale Hester

We sell more tickets on the internet and the box office



Operations Greg Coates

Has everyone received his or her proximity card? I have two that have not

We?re in the process of resetting and cleaning the building

The roof is clean

We have graduation this weekend



Sharon Pierce

Are we supposed to get some money from that carbon situation? Dale- we do

$100,000.00 but that is a couple of years from now

Dale-operations literally does clean the building, make repairs, check lights,

looks to see what needs the building has

Sam Wetzel- how many graduations are there? (8)

Robert Anderson- the daxtronics board I thought it couldn?t be repaired? Greg

we put in 2,000 light bulbs

Robert Anderson- Greg is there any more capital that you?re looking into? Greg-

I?m waiting on Dale, I would like to get new curtains for the next season



Director Dale

Aramark- has one more year on their contract. We have meet only once

I have the event coordinators looking at pros and cons and what?s profitable

for concessions

Not 100% sure the city can own a liquor license

I?m going to Philadelphia in June to look at concessions from Aramark, I will

keep you inform

Ticketmasters contract ends in August, I will re-negotiate and try to get a

better deal

Robin, will be attending a conference in Miami on marketing

Greg and I are going to a IAAM conference in San Antonio in August

I have a proposal to build the Ice Rink for 3 million dollars

I have my staff working on presentations - so I can present it to City Council,

hopefully in a couple of weeks

Budget includes pay raise increase 80-85,000.00 more, that I can generate for

the raises

The laborers will get a $5,000.00 raise

We can?t do a request until October for appeals

We have some people that were going to get re-classified

The UGA Study and plan overall is good

Performance Based, they need to go back too, in order to keep people

This is where we are, we?re doing well, were really not on down time

Couple of shows in July and college graduations

Lisa- the Viper game June 3rd

City Council-South Commons contract is different from the Civic Center

Aramark wouldn?t allow people to bring in water, coolers and food

Dale-Aramark, Lisa Goodwin and Tony Adams met and resolved the issue



Greg Coates

The Sunday night cruisers- we can?t do anything but we get the blame for it

The Mayor said that they could come here, I have enough documentation where we

can?t get the blame

Currently in the process of getting an estimate to fence the entire South

Commons
