A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, the Columbus American Little League 9-10 year old baseball players
became champions when they won the Tournament of State Champions held in
Ceredo-Kenova, West Virginia on August 5, 2010;
WHEREAS, each June, ten states register more than 1,200 9-10 year old players;
WHEREAS, the Tournament of State Champions games are held at Mitch Stadium in
Ceredo-Kenova, West Virginia and consist of baseball players from Alabama,
Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee,
Virginia, and West Virginia;
WHEREAS, the Columbus American Little League baseball players came home with
the championship after defeating West Virginia by a score of 5-4;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the 9-10 year old baseball players of the
Columbus American Little League are worthy of special recognition by this
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the Columbus American Little League 9-10
year old baseball players on winning the Tournament of State Champions at
Ceredo-Kenova, West Virginia. Columbus is proud of their accomplishments and we
wish them every success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be
forwarded to Dalton Bradford, Garrett Jimmerson, Jason Konsler, Trey Lingo,
Camden Mathis, Hunter McNeil, Jack Peek, Seth Shadix, Chantler Valero, Bo
Voltz, Christopher Wright, Team Manager Brent Wright, Team Coaches Greg Mathis
and Tommy Bradford and Team Mom Kimberly Voltz.

24th day of August, 2010, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
