SUBJECT: Kissel Entertainment ? Fall Fair Provider
INITIATED BY: Columbus Civic Center
Recommendation: Approval is requested to enter into a five-year contract with
Kissel Entertainment.
Background: Kissel Entertainment was built on 70 plus years and 4 generations
in the Carnival industry. Kissel proudly specializes in Kentucky Carnivals,
Alabama Carnivals, Tennessee Carnivals, Ohio Carnivals, and Georgia Carnivals.
Kissel Entertainment has been a leader in our industry. Helping pioneer the
Kentucky Ride Safety Inspection Program.
Analysis: Kissel provides 40 midway rides, games and concessions for the
Greater Columbus Fair held at the Civic Center. This will be the second year
Kissel has provided the Fall Fair.
Financial Considerations: The Civic Center profited $185,000 from the Greater
Columbus Fair in 2016.
Legal Considerations: Any multi-year contract involving this City requires
Council approval.
Recommended /Actions: Approval is requested for the City Manager to enter into
a five-year contract with Kisssel Entertainment.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FIVE-YEAR CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE COLUMBUS CIVIC CENTER AND KISSEL ENTERTAINMENT.
WHEREAS, Kissel Entertainment has agreed to provide the Greater Columbus Fair
at the Columbus Civic Center; and,
WHEREAS, the Kissel Entertainment and the Columbus Civic Center shall uphold
the recommended contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a five-year contract
between the Columbus Civic Center and Kissel Entertainment.
