SUBJECT: Sanitary Sewer Main Easement

Recommendation: Approval is requested to grant an easement to the Columbus
Water Works on property located at the Muscogee Technology Park ? Land Lots, 69
? 74, 88 ? 92, 101 ? 103 and 105 ? 9th District in Columbus, Muscogee County,
Georgia. The easement requested is depicted on the attachments with the
easement area highlighted in yellow.
Background: Columbus Water Works would like to secure a permanent easement
over and through a certain strip of land 20? feet wide and 69,818 +/- feet
long, more or less, being a part of Muscogee Technology Park from the
Development Authority.
Analysis: The installation of the sanitary sewer main easement will not
interfere with the current use of the property. The easement would be granted
with conditions as provided on the attachment.
Financial Considerations: N/A
Legal Considerations: The granting of an easement on the Development Authority
property to Columbus Water Works requires the approval of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution authorizing the City Manager
to grant an easement to Columbus Water Works on property located over and
through the right of way of Muscogee Technology Park in Columbus, Muscogee
County, Georgia.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO GRANT AN EASEMENT TO COLUMBUS
WATER WORKS ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT BEING A PART OF MUSCOGEE TECHNOLOGY
PARK-LAND LOTS, 69 ? 74 ? 88 - 92, 101 ? 103 AND 105 ? 9TH DISTRICT IN
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, the Water Works would like to secure a permanent easement over
and through a certain strip of land 20? feet wide and 69,818 +/- feet long
Muscogee Technology Park property; and,
WHEREAS, the easement will be granted for the purpose of the
construction and maintaining sanitary sewer mains; and,
WHEREAS, installation of the sanitary sewer will not interfere with the
current use of the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to grant a permanent easement for a
Sanitary Sewer Main to Columbus Water Works located over and through a certain
strip of land 20? feet wide and 69,818 +/- feet long at the Muscogee Technology
Park ? Land Lots, 69 ? 74, 88 ? 92, 101 ? 103 and 105 ? 9th District in
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia
