SYNOVUS FINANCIAL SERVICES 1990 - Present

(A $34B financial holding company with over 6500 team members).

Group Executive Vice President (CHRO) 2011-present

Responsible for Managing and Directing HR Business Partners, Recruiting,

Benefits, HR Shared Services, Compensation. Position reports to Chief

Administrative Officer for Corporate. Team consists of 55 members; budget of

approximately $13.5M. Responsibilities include establishing the strategy and

direction for all aspects of the human resources function.

Successfully converted Employee Stock Purchase platform from BNY Mellon to

Fidelity as system administrator to provide more comprehensive and integrated

services for team members

Executed Salary Pool to provide available funds for the purpose of managing

talent retention risks

Designed creative compensation award programs for key leaders during lean

economic period

Refined talent and succession management program to ensure skill gaps, ready

replacements and retention risks were addressed

Instrumental in the implementation of a number of team member efficiency

efforts (executive perquisities, benefits cost savings efforts, consolidation

of Credit, Processing functions, etc.)

Administered successful transition and reorganization of HR team through

headcount reductions and various efficiency efforts with no loss of services to

business units. Resulted in $1.5M savings



Senior Director, People Development (2007 ? 2011)

Responsible for Managing and Directing Corporate HR, Talent Management,

Corporate Recruiting and Learning and Development. Position reports to Group

Executive for Human Resources, Team Services Division. Team consists of 40

members; budget of approximately of $8M. Responsibilities include talent/

performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, compliance,

recruiting/selection.



Implemented corporate mentoring program resulting in cross-functional

leadership development, increased job performance, networking opportunities and

broader career opportunities.

Established and facilitated Leadership Development Council comprised of

internal and external ?thought leaders? resulting in a comprehensive and

integrated leadership development strategy.

Led strategic efforts designed to revamp company Leadership Expectations model

and codify corporate leadership behaviors and values.

Implemented corporate Executive Coaching process to improve executive

performance around defined leadership competencies.

Implemented cost effective strategies to streamline and improve Leadership

Institute Program/ Curriculum resulting in a savings of approximately $482,000

on a $1.5M program.



Senior Vice President, Director of Financial Services HR Management (2005 ?

2007)

Managed and directed Corporate and Bank Human Resources. Team included 42

Human Resources professionals and budget of approximately $8M. Delivered Human

Resources services across the five-state footprint of the organization to

include Employee Relations and Recruiting/Staffing functions.



Led the successful consolidation and integration of the bank HR function into

the holding company HR division as a component of a quality and efficiency

initiative.

Reduced HR delivery costs by $ 400,000, aligned HR strategies with the business

objectives and positioned HR Managers as strategic business partners.

Led a team to implement a comprehensive, corporate on-boarding program designed

to improve cycle time and communication channels for supervisors and New Hires.



Senior Vice President, Director of Diversity Initiatives (2000-2005)

Developed, designed and implemented the company?s first Diversity Initiative.

Led the Corporate Executive Diversity Council and launched programs that

improved demographic composition of the leadership talent pool, increased

retention rate of minorities/females, improved the attraction rate of Synovus,

and reduced costs through an established vendor management program.
