An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 1646 and 1648 Manchester Expressway from NC (Neighborhood
Commercial) Zoning District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department be, and the
same is hereby amended by changing the aforementioned properties from NC
(Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning
District:
All that tract or parcel of land identified as Part of Lots 98 & 101, C. S.
HARRISON SURVEY, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and more particularly
described as follows: BEGIN at a concrete monument marking the westerly end of
a dual miter which forms the intersection of the southerly line of Manchester
Expressway and the westerly line of 17th Avenue; thence South 66 degrees 52
minutes 30 seconds East, along the westerly leg of said miter, 32.79 feet to a
concrete monument; thence South 31 degrees 38 minutes 59 seconds East, along
the easterly leg of said miter, 30.09 feet to a concrete monument on the
westerly line of 17th Avenue; thence South 01 degrees 46 minutes 22 seconds
East, along the westerly line of 17th Avenue, 79.11 feet to a concrete
monument; thence leaving said street line, South 86 degrees 25 minutes 42
seconds West, 134.08 feet to an iron stake; thence North 02 degrees 39 minutes
35 seconds West, 113.15 feet to an iron stake on the southerly line of
Manchester Expressway; thence North 81 degrees 54 minutes 36 seconds East,
along the southerly line of Manchester Expressway, 91.59 feet to a concrete
monument at the point of beginning; containing 0.35 acres.
And
All that tract or parcel of land identified as Lots 96 & 99 and Part of Lot
100, C. S. HARRISON SURVEY, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and more
particularly described as follows: Commence at a concrete monument marking the
westerly end of a dual miter which forms the intersection of the southerly line
of Manchester Expressway and the westerly line of 17th Avenue; thence South' 81
degrees 54 minutes 36 seconds West, along the southerly line of Manchester
Expressway, 91.59 feet to an iron stake and the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence
leaving said street line, South 02 degrees 39 minutes 35 seconds East, 167.0
feet to an iron stake; thence South 82 degrees 20 minutes 47 seconds West,
148.15 feet to an iron stake on the easterly line of Sherwood Avenue; thence
North 02 degrees 33 minutes 10 seconds West, along the easterly line of
Sherwood Avenue, 166.74 feet to an iron stake on the southerly line of
Manchester Expressway; thence North 82 degrees 14 minutes 06 seconds East,
along the southerly line of Manchester Expressway, 147.83 feet to an iron stake
at the point of beginning; containing 0.56 acres.
The above-described property is being rezoned subject to the following
condition:
1. Billboards shall be prohibited.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia
held on the 11th day of June, 2013; introduced a second time at a regular
meeting of said Council held on the day of _________, 2013 and adopted at
said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
