SUBJECT: Publix Donation to Therapeutic Program
INITIATED BY: Parks and Recreation
Recommendation: Approval is requested for acceptance of a $50.00 donation
from Publix Super Markets for the food program in the Therapeutic Recreation
Division.
Background: Publix has donated a $50.00 gift card to the Therapeutic
Recreation Division to be used for food and grocery items for programming
needs.
Analysis: Funds can be used for various programs of the Therapeutic Division.
Financial Considerations: This will be at no cost to the City as it is a
donation.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: None
Legal Considerations: Council must approve the acceptance of this donation.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve donation of a gift card for $50.00 to be
used towards food and grocery items for Therapeutic Programs.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT DONATION OF A $50.00 GIFT
CARD FROM PUBLIX FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT THERAPEUTIC DIVISION.
WHEREAS, Publix has donated a gift card in the amount of $50.00 to the
Therapeutic Recreation Division to be used for food and grocery items for
programming; and,
WHEREAS, the gift card will be used for items needed for programs within the
Therapeutic Recreation Division at the discretion of the Therapeutic Supervisor
and Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, this has been donated and there will be no cost to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept a donation of a
gift card in the amount of $50.00 from Publix for the Parks and Recreation
Department - Therapeutic Recreation Division.
