GENERAL SUMMARY
Retired Personal Property Manager with Muscogee County Board of Tax Assessors,
Georgia Department of Revenue certified Appraiser/Auditor III. 16.5 years?
experience employed with The Consolidated Government of Columbus in Personal
Property Valuation administered by the Muscogee County Board of Assessors.
Experience gained as an Appraiser/Auditor III to include analyzing and
reviewing taxpayers? personal property tax renditions, address taxpayers?
questions in person or by phone. Research and collect data for discovery of
taxable tangible personal property. Conduct field and in-house audits of
personal property accounts with large manufacturing firms and Corporations
fixed asset ledger. Experience ranges from all classes of personal property to
include appraising Aircraft, Marine, Mobile Homes, Motor Vehicle appeals and
business assets. Previous experience includes 25 years in the Textile
manufacturing industry and 3 years experience in the Soft Drink manufacturing
industry with local companies. A variety of positions held in previous
employment to include Cost/Waste Supervisor, Cost Clerk, Instructor, Laboratory
Technician, Production Supervisor, Industrial Engineering Technician and
Management Information Coordinator. Responsibilities in previous positions
include but not limited to maintaining a computerized cost system for Inventory
Control, audits on raw materials and assets. Experience gained in valuation of
monthly inventory, receiving, handling of materials, waste handling and
shipping. Generated production reports and processed payroll. Prepared cost
analysis of fabrics and yarns for merchandisers. Assisted in budget
preparation.
