(3) BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING: First Reading of an ordinance to adopt the

FY-06 Budget of the Columbus Consolidated Government for the fiscal year

beginning July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006.



(4) TAX MILLAGE HEARING: 6:00p.m. - Public Hearing -- Tax Millage. The

budget tentatively adopted by the Consolidated Government of Columbus,

Georgia, requires a millage rate higher than the rollback millage rate.

Therefore, before the Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia, may

finalize the tentative budget and set a final millage rate, Georgia Law

requires that three public hearings be held to allow the public an opportunity

to express their opinions on this increase.



All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this tax increase

to be held in the Council Chambers on the plaza level of the Government Center

Tower, 100 10th Street, at the indicated times: June 7, 2005 at 9:00 a.m., June

7, 2005 at 6:00 p.m., and June 14, 2005 at 9:00 a.m.
