A Resolution Authorizing THE PURCHASE OF THE BAY AVENUE PARKING DECK FROM W.C. BRADLEY CO. (WCBC) IN THE
AMOUNT OF $6,200,000 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND AN ADDITIONAL $200,000 FOR ITEMS
REQUESTED BY THE CITY whereas, the City and WCBC entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (M0A) for the
construction of a 780 space Parking Deck; and,
whereas, WCBC was responsible for the design and construction of the Parking Deck; and,
WHEREAS, Upon completion of the Parking Deck WCBC will convey to the City the
Parking Deck for the purchase price of $6,200,000 and,
WHEREAS, In addition items have been included to improve the operations of the
Parking Deck at a cost of $200,000; and,
WHEREAS, The funding for the Parking Deck is provided by CBA 2003B Taxable
Bonds 0555-200-2448-CBA-7661-40224040 and General Fund Supported CIP
Contingency 0508-660-1000-CPGF-7761-22222040.
That the City Manger is hereby authorized to purchase the Bay Avenue Parking
Deck from the W. C. Bradley Co. (WCBC) for $6,200,000 and improvements for
$200,000 for a total of $6,400,000. The City Manager, Mayor, Asst. Finance
Director and City Attorney are authorized to sign all documents necessary to
finalize this transaction.
