A Resolution Authorizing THE ACQUISITION OF RIGHT OF WAY FOR THE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT OF WILLIAMS

ROAD @ WHITESVILLE ROAD PROJECT. whereas, the City of Columbus, Georgia has determined a need for an Intersection

Improvement at Williams Road @ Whiteville Road and has approved said project

with funding from the '99 SPLOST Funds, and;
whereas, the project will extend wholly within the corporate limits of Columbus, Georgia

under the laws of the State of Georgia.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

1.

That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to acquire

Right of Way for the Intersection Improvement Project of Williams Road @

Whitesville Road, that was approved to be funded by the '99 SPLOST ;and,

2.

That further authorization is given to contract for professional

services, i.e. real estate appraisers, legal counsel, utility re-location,

etc., upon compliance with Procurement Ordinance and subsequent agreements to

implement the above mentioned project, in Columbus, Georgia.
