A Resolution Authorizing SUBMITTAL OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE TO THE LOWER CHATTAHOOCHEE REGIONAL

DEVELOPMENT CENTER FOR REVIEW, COMMENTS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS. whereas, Growth Strategies legislation enacted by the Georgia General Assembly mandated

that each of Georgia?s counties and cities prepare Comprehensive Plans and

update these plans at least every five years; and,
whereas, the Columbus Consolidated Government has prepared the required status report

and update of its Short Term Work Program; and,
WHEREAS, by this resolution, the Columbus Consolidated Government certifies

that an

advertised public hearing was held on June 19, 2003 to get local citizens?

input for the preparation of the plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit the Comprehensive Plan

update to the Lower Chattahoochee Regional Development Center for review,

comments, and recommendations.
