A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO VIRGIL TED THEUS AND BRENDA
MAE THEUS FOR SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN 1615 AND 1623 16TH AVENUE
IN WERACOBA HEIGHTS. whereas, Resolution #340-83's authored the execution of a Quit Claim Deed for surplus
property (3825 square feet +/-) located at 1615 and 1623 16th Avenue in
Weracoba Heights; and,
whereas, one adjacent property owner established a Quit Claim Deed pursuant to
Resolution #340-83, but the predecessor in title to Lot 6 Block "A" Weracoba
Heights did not make payment or accept title for his portion of the surplus
property shown on a plat dated April 7, 1994 of said lot; and,
WHEREAS, the current successor in title to Lot 6 Block "A" Weracoba Heights
desires to make payment and accept a, Quit Claim to the southern half of this
surplus property shown on plats dated May 5, 1986 and April 7, 1994; and,
WHEREAS, this property is deemed to be surplus property and is not needed for
City purposes.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed to Virgil Ted Theus and Brenda Mae Theus to the southern strip of surplus property shown on plats dated May 5, 1986 and April 7, 1994, said property being 3825 square feet +/- in width, upon payment of $1437.50 to Columbus Georgia.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the day of and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
