A Resolution Authorizing TO ACQUIRE 14.32 +/- ACRES TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OXBOW MARINA
PROJECT, IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA. whereas, the following properties are to be acquired to support the Oxbow Marina
Project:
3569 South Lumpkin Road a/k/a Tax Map # 061 001 005, 006 and part of
013 containing 12.17 +/- acres;
3601 South Lumpkin Road a/k/a Tax Map # 061 001 008 containing 1.04 +/-
acres;
3613 South Lumpkin Road a/k/a 061 001 007A containing 0.07 +/- acres;
3619 South Lumpkin Road a/k/a Tax Map # 061 001 007 containing 1.02 +/-
acres; and,
whereas, 14.32 +/- acres of property will be acquired to assemble properties for the
Oxbow Marina Project; and,
WHEREAS, funds are budgeted in Special Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) for the
acquisitions and development of the Oxbow Marina Project; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to acquire said properties.
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase properties listed above
using SPLOST funds for the purchase price of $1,000,000 and the assemblage of
property for the Oxbow Marina Project. The total acreage purchased will be
14.32 +/- acres.
