A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO TRANSFER PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS 2925 AND 2927 BALDWIN
STREET A/K/A 50-31-11 AND 12, CONSISTING OF 6,750 SQ FT +/- IN EXCHANGE FOR
PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS 2602 AND 2604 RIVERSIDE AVENUE A/K/A 07-12-05 AND 06,
CONSISTING OF 6,432 SQ FT +/-. whereas, the City of Columbus owns two parcels of property on Baldwin Street
that is needed by Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc., for a Collegent
Housing Blitz. The Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc., owns two parcels
of property on Riverside Drive that is adjacent to property that is being
assembled by the City of Columbus for future development; and,
whereas, the transfer of the property owned by the City to the Columbus Area Habitat for
Humanity, Inc., in exchange for the property owned by Columbus Area Habitat for
Humanity, Inc., to the City is considered to be in the best interest of the
City; and,
WHEREAS, the properties have been determined to be equal in size and value.
That the City Manager is authorized to transfer properties identified
as 2925 and 2927 Baldwin Street to the Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity,
Inc., and in exchange the City of Columbus will accept properties identified as
2602 and 2604 Riverside Avenue from Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc.
