A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO DECLARE PROPERTY ON THE BULL CREEK WATERSHED STRUCTURE NO.
25 NEAR THE REAR LINES OF LOTS 42 AND 43, BLOCK "G" AREA "A" AS SURPLUS AND TO
EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED, BETWEEN THE COLUMBUS CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT
(GRANTOR) AND RAY M. WRIGHT INC. AND VICTOR T. PREVATT (GRANTEE), FOR AREA "A"
IN BLOCK "G" SECTION TWO BROADFIELD NEAR IRONSTONE DRIVE IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE
COUNTY, GEORGIA. whereas, the City will maintain the operation and maintenance of the dam and dike; and,
whereas, the Natural Resources Conservation (NCRS) will have written assurance that the
City of Columbus would not allow any structure to be built on the Bull Creek
Watershed Structure No. 25; and,
WHEREAS, the property will be declared as surplus and advertised in
accordance with Section 7-501 of the City Code; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the Consolidated
Government to transfer said property in the Bull Creek Watershed Structure No.
25 to Ray M. Wright Inc. and Victor T. Prevatt.
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to:
1. Execute a Quit Claim Deed that transfers Area "A" in the Bull Creek
Watershed Structure No. 25 to Ray M. Wright and Victor T. Prevatt; and,
2. Declare Area "A" as surplus; and,
2. Authorize the City to accept Area "B" and "C" as a donation; and,
3. File all deeds with the Clerk of Superior Court for permanent record.
