A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO DISPOSE OF THE STREET SEGMENT OF BAY AVENUE AND

RIGHT-OF-WAY BEGINNING AT THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF DILLINGHAM STREET

NORTH TO THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF TENTH STREET TO FOUNDATIONS PROPERTIES,

INC. BY QUIT CLAIM DEED. whereas, the street segment of Bay Avenue and right-of-way beginning at the north

right-of-way line of Dillingham Street north to the south right-of-way of Tenth

Street has been deleted from the "Official Street Map of Columbus, Georgia" by

an ordinance approved by the Columbus Council; and,
whereas, Foundations Properties, Inc. is developing a new Uptown Campus for Columbus

State University that will utilize the Bay Avenue and right-of-way; and,
WHEREAS, the transfer of this street segment provides that all existing utility

easements of record remain in effect and providing appropriate width as

required by applicable utility companies shall be reserved for unknown

utilities.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the city manager is hereby authorized to dispose of the street

segment of Bay Avenue and right-of-way beginning at the north right-of-way line

of Dillingham Street north to the south right-of-way line of Tenth Street to

Foundations Properties, Inc. by Quick Claim Deed.


Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the _________ day of _____________ and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of  _____________ members of said Council.
