A Resolution Authorizing A POLICY REGARDING BOARD APPOINTEES AND ATTENDENCE IN MEETINGS. whereas, Resolution 72-71 provides that the position held by any Board appointee who

shall miss three (3) consecutive meetings for which he has been unexcused,

shall be considered vacant, and the Council shall appoint a successor to

succeed such vacancy.
whereas, this Council desires to amend said Resolution so that Board positions shall be

considered vacant where the appointee misses three (3) meetings in a

twelve-month period which are unexcused

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the first sentence of Resolution 72-71 is hereby deleted in its entirety and there is substituted a new sentence to read as follows: "That the positions held by any Board appointee who shall miss three (3) meetings for which he / she has been unexcused in a twelve-month period, shall be considered vacant, and the Council shall appoint a successor to fill such vacancy."


Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the day of and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
