A Resolution Authorizing THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP AND AGREEMENT WITH THE GEORGIA

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE 2005/2006 L.A.R.P. PROGRAM FOR 57 STREETS

TOTALING 12.05 MILES, PROJECT NO's. LAU05-S007-00(934), LAU05-S007-00(937) AND

LAU05-S007-00(941); CITY PATCHING CONTRACTS FOR 57 STREETS TOTALING 12.05

MILES, PROJECT NO's PRC10-S008-00(041), PRC10-S008-00(043) AND

PRC10-S008-00(044); ALSO TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL CONTRACT FOR CITY RESURFACING

AND PATCHING PROGRAM FOR 21 STREETS TOTALING 5.12 MILES, PROJECT NO's

PRC10-S008-00(047) AND PRC10-S008-00(048), MUSCOGEE. whereas, the Georgia Department of Transportation has offered L.A.R.P Contracts for the

patching and resurfacing of the above mentioned projects, and
whereas, the Georgia Department of Transportation puts out for bid the L.A.R.P. Program

along with a City resurfacing and patching program, thus allowing the City to

benifit for lower prices because of quanity.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Certificate of

Ownership and Agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for the

2005/2006 L.A.R.P. Program for 57 streets totaling 12.05 miles, Project No's.

LAU05-S007-00(934), LAU05-S007-00(937) and LAU05-S007-00(941); City Patching

Contracts for 57 streets totaling 12.05 miles, Project No's PRC10-S008-00(041),

PRC10-S008-00(043) and PRC10-S008-00(044); also to include additional contract

for City Resurfacing and Patching Program for 21 streets totaling 5.12 miles,

Project No's PRC10-S008-00(047) and PRC10-S008-00(048), Muscogee.
