A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO TRANSFER PROPERTY KNOWN AS
"CHATTAHOOCHEE LAND" CONSISTING OF 692 +/- ACRES PURCHASED IN THE NAME OF THE
COLUMBUS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CEDC) TO THE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY whereas, the property located in Chattahoochee County consisting of 692 +/- acres
located in the southwestern portion of Chattahoochee County near the west end
of River Bend Road, on the north side of this road has been in the possession
of the City since 1996; and,
whereas, the City of Columbus, Georgia is interested in the promotion of economic
development; and,
WHEREAS, the CEDC will transfer the property to the Development Authority; and
,
WHEREAS, the Development Authority will sell the property for cash (to be
returned to the City) and in-kind services (for training for City personnel);
and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of Columbus,
Georgia to transfer the property in Chattahoochee County, Georgia, a/k/a Tax
Map #002-0002.
That the City Manager is authorized to sign all documents necessary to transfer
"Chattahoochee Land" a/k/a Tax Map #002-0002. The Columbus Economic
Development Corporation (CEDC) will transfer said property to the Development
Authority, and the Development Authority will sell the property for cash (to be
returned to the City) and in-kind services (for training for City personnel).
