A Resolution Authorizing THE PURCHASE OF SIX PARCELS OF PROPERTIES LYING NEAR THE RIVERWALK FRONTING

RIVERSIDE AVENUE CONSISTING OF .67 +/- ACRES OF LAND A/K/A TAX MAP PARCELS

007-012-007,8,9,10,11 & 12, COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY whereas, the above described properties are to be assembled and used for future

development; and,
whereas, the property is available for sale; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of

Columbus, Georgia to purchase the property; and,

WHEREAS, it has been determined the price of $62,000.00 is fair and equitable.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to:

1. Purchase the six parcels of land fronting Riverside Avenue for the amount

of $62,000.00.

2. File the Warranty Deed with Superior Court Clerk for permanent record.
