A Resolution Authorizing A VARIANCE TO THE CITY CODE SECTION 17E.7 SIGNS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
WHICH PROHIBITS BUSINESS/ADVERTISING SIGNS ON RIGHT-OF-WAY TO ALLOW THE HILTON
GARDEN INN TO INSTALL A BUSINESS NAME WITH LOGO IN THE MEDIAN OF BRADLEY LAKE
BOULEVARD NEAR BROOKSTONE CENTRE PARKWAY. whereas, the owners of Hilton Garden Inn requested a variance to the City Code Section
17E.7 to allow the installation of Hilton Garden Inn sign in the median of
Bradley Lake Boulevard; and,
whereas, the normal procedure for installing business name and advertising signs is to
acquire a permit from the Inspections and Code Division to install said sign
on the business premises or nearby private property.
That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to issue a
permit with an approved variance to the City Codes Section 17E.1 signs in the
public right-of-way which prohibits business/advertising signs on the
right-of-way to allow the Hilton Garden Inn to install a business name with
logo in the median of Bradley Lake Boulevard near Brookstone Centre Parkway.
