A Resolution Authorizing TO DECLARE PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND SELL PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS 2418 NORTH

LUMPKIN ROAD (FIRE STATION #7) LOCATED IN MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA, A/K/A TAX

MAP 041-028-022. whereas, the Consolidated Government of Columbus acquired the above described property

in 1962 and no longer has any future use or plans for the facility/property;

and,
whereas, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia

to sell the property as surplus; and,
WHEREAS, the property will be advertised for sale in accordance with Section

7-501 of the City Code.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to declare the property

identified as 2418 North Lumpkin Road a/k/a Tax Map 041-028-022, as surplus and

authorize the execution of all documents necessary to advertise and sell said

property at the appraisal value.
