A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO A MASTER LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF COLUMBUS AND CRICKET GEORGIA PROPERTY COMPANY
(CRICKET) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A COMMUNICATION TOWER LOCATED AT WOODRUFF
FARM PARK. whereas, City Staff has gone through a process to identify city owned property that
would be suitable for the locations of communication towers; and
whereas, Woodruff Farm Park has been identified as a site that is needed for
communication coverage, and a site that would provide a tower that is suitable
for co-location; and,
WHEREAS, Cricket will construct the tower and transfer the ownership to the
City of Columbus; and,
WHEREAS, Cricket will receive a credit for rent on the tower in an amount equal
to cost incurred for the construction of the tower; and,
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and enter into a master lease agreement with Cricket Georgia Property Company (Cricket) for the construction of a communication tower located at Woodruff Farm Park.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the 8th day of January 2002 and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of ________ members of said Council.
