A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR 2.59 ACRES OF RIGHT OF WAY
LOCATED ALONG WHITTLESEY BOULEVARD AND NOTED AS PARCELS 1, 2 AND 3 ON A PLAT
ENTITLED RIGHT OF WAY ABANDONMENT, COLUMBUS PARK CROSSING, WHICH IS HEREBY
DECLARED SURPLUS IN EXCHANGE FOR 3.94 ACRES OF RIGHT OF WAY ALONG THE NEWLY
CONSTRUCTED ADAMS FARM DRIVE AND WHITTLESEY BOULEVARD. whereas, the Council of Columbus executed an infrastructure improvement agreement with
Columbus Park Crossing, LLC. for the construction of Whittlesey Boulevard and
relocation of Adams Farm Drive;
whereas, those improvements are now complete and have been accepted by the Council of
Columbus;
WHEREAS, as part of the agreement the City agreed that any surplus right of
way along Adams Farm Drive would be deeded to the adjacent property owner,
Geo. M. Adams Co. Inc. in exchange for the new right of way.
The City Manger is hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed to Geo. M. Adams Co. Inc. for all rights, title and interest the City may have in said property which is hereby declared surplus.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the 30 day of July and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
