A Resolution Authorizing TO PURCHASE 2.72 +/- ACRES OF PROPERTY AND ACCEPT A DONATION OF 1.67 +/- ACRES

(TOTAL OF 4.39 +/-ACRES) TO BE INCLUDED IN THE GREEN SPACE PROGRAM - CITY OF

COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA (SEE ATTACHED MAPS). whereas, the 2.72 +/- acres is to be acquired for the Green Space Program; and,
whereas, 1.67 +/- acres is to be donated to the City; and,
WHEREAS, the property is available for sale; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of Columbus,

Georgia to acquire a portion of the property for the Greenspace Program to

include a donation of land for future park expansion; and,

WHEREAS, it has been determined the Seller agrees to a cash payment upon

closing of $200,000.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase 2.72 acres +/- of

property at the corner of Milgen Road and Cooper Creek Parkway for the total

purchase price of $200,000.00, and accept the donation of 1.67 acres +/- and

file the Warranty Deed with Superior Court Clerk for permanent record.
