A Resolution Authorizing TO DECLARE 7.98 +/- ACRES IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP 138-002-001 A/K/A 7330 MIDLAND
ROAD, ACQUIRED BY THE COLUMBUS WATER WORKS AS SURPLUS AND ADVERTISE SAID
PROPERTY FOR SALE. whereas, the Columbus Water Works has acquired the above parcels of property; and,
whereas, the Columbus Water Works, Board of Commissioners has requested the City of
Columbus to sell the property; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Columbus Water Works to sell the
excess property no longer needed for a pumping station, to the highest bidder
to promote development; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined the property will be sold at appraised fair
market value..
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to:
1. Declare 7.98 +/- acres of property identified as Tax Map 138-002-001
a/k/a 7330 Midland Road acquired by the Columbus Water Works as surplus and
advertise said property for sale to the highest bidder for the appraised fair
market value;
2. Authorize payment of the proceeds of sale, less expenses, to reimburse
the Columbus Water Works account in accordance with Georgia Code 36-61-4;
3. Authorize the filing of the Quit Claim Deed with Superior Court Clerk
for permanent record.
