A Resolution Authorizing THE EXECUTION OF A DEED FOR A 20 FT. WATER MAIN EASEMENT THAT WILL TOTAL
APPROXIMATELY 0.037 +/- ACRES ACROSS CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY TO MARK ALEXANDER
BUILDING CONTRACTOR FOR INSTALLATION OF A PRIVATE WATER MAIN CONNECTING WATER
FROM 7777 SCHOMBURG ROAD TO THE FUTURE SITE OF PHASE II FAIRWAY VIEW APARTMENTS
LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET. whereas, Mark Alexander Building Contractor, Fairway View Apartments, wishes to
construct a private water main easement across City right-of-way; and,
whereas, Mark Alexander Building Contractor will be boring under the City's right-of-way
from 7777 Schomburg Road across the street to build Phase II of Fairway View
Apartments in order to install a private water main; and,
WHEREAS, Columbus Water Works has approved the plans for the 20 ft. water main
easement through approximately 0.037 +/- acres across City Right-of-way; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Mark Alexander Building Contractor,
Fairway View Apartments and/or the successors will bear all cost associated
with the construction and/or maintenance of the private water main. They will
also be responsible for any damages to City right-of-way due to the existence
of this private water main.
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a deed to Mark
Alexander Building Contractor, Fairway View Apartments for a 20 ft. private
water main easement that will total approximately 0.037 +/- acres across City
right-of-way to connect water from 7777 Schomburg Road to the future site of
Phase II Fairway View Apartments located across the street and file said deed
with the Clerk of Superior Court for permanent record.
