A Resolution Authorizing THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT 1044 FORT BENNING ROAD A/K/A 064-029-006 AND TO

LEASE BACK THE BUILDING ON SAID PROPERTY FOR FIVE (5) YEARS AT $600.00 A MONTH

WITH THE TENANT PROVIDING ALL MAINTENANCE ON THE BUILDING AS STIPULATED IN THE

SALES CONTRACT IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA. whereas, the property is 2.8 +/- acres in the Enterprise Zone; and,
whereas, the property is adjacent to other properties owned by the City and is needed to

develop an Urban Industrial Park to promote job creation; and,
WHEREAS, it has be determined that the price of $350,000.00 is fair and

equitable.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase 1044 Fort

Benning Road a/k/a 064-029-006 for $350,000.00 and to lease back said property

for five (5) years at $600.00 a month as stipulated in the Sales Contract.
