A Resolution Authorizing HISTORIC LINWOOD FOUNDATION, INC., TO RELOCATE A HISTORIC CHAPEL CURRENTLY

LOCATED IN JUNIPER GEORGIA, TO THE LINWOOD CEMETERY SITE. whereas, the Historic Linwood Foundation, Inc., has been offered a chapel built in the

1880's; and,
whereas, the foundation has requested permission to move the chapel onto City property

known as Linwood Cemetery; and,
WHEREAS, the foundation representatives have received approval from Planning

and the Board of Historical and Architectural Review (BHAR); and,

WHEREAS, the foundation will pay all associated cost with moving, sitting up

and operating the chapel, thus there being no costs to the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to grant permission to the

Historic Linwood Foundation, Inc., to relocate the Chapel currently located in

Juniper, Georgia to City property known as Linwood Cemetery.
