A Resolution Authorizing THE ADOPTION OF THE LIBERTY DISTRICT MASTER PLAN, TO PROMOTE PLANNED

REDEVELOPMENT IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA. whereas, the area known as the Liberty District is in a redevelopment area with overall

decline; and,
whereas, the Consultants, Stakeholders, Citizens and the Columbus Consolidated

Government has facilitated the development of this plan; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of the Liberty District Master Plan will facilitate the

manner that Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and1999 Splost Fund

are expended in the area; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest for the Columbus Consolidated Government to

improve, re-establish and enhance the Liberty District.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the Council hereby adopts the Liberty District Master Plan in order to

work with the revitalization of the area from Victory Drive to 11th Avenue and

Veteran Parkway to 10th Street in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.
