A Resolution Authorizing THE FILING OF THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND APPLICATIONS REQUESTING ENTITLEMENT
FUNDING. whereas, the Consolidated Government of Columbus Georgia wishes to come into compliance
with Title I of the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990; and,
whereas, the Annual Action Plan Update (Budget) for the Consolidated Government of
Columbus Georgia has been developed as prescribed by Federal Regulations of the
Department of Housing and Urban Development; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of Columbus Georgia wishes to apply for federal funds and
programs administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and,
WHEREAS, the sources of federal funding and programs are the Community
Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) $2,189,000, the HOME Partnership Program
(HOME) $1,370,214, and the Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG) $82,633.
That the Annual Action Plan (Update) and Applications for Federal Assistance
are hereby approved for filing with the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development and further authorizes the City Manager to execute all
contracts, agreements and understandings related to the Consolidated Strategy
and Plan, Annual Action Plan (Update).
