A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A 40' TEMPORARY WORK AREA EASEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION

OF THE FENCE AROUND THE FORT BENNING INSTALLATION IN COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY,

GEORGIA. whereas, the 40' temporary work area easement will allow the Federal Government to

construct a fence to have access control points in and around the Fort Benning

Installation; and,
whereas, the Federal Government will require the easement for a period of no longer than

12 months; and,
WHEREAS, the City has no present or future use for said portions of the

easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a "Right-Of-Entry For

Construction" to the Federal Government for the access of a 40' temporary work

area easement for the construction of the fence around the installation at Fort

Benning, Georgia.
